Abstract

181,178. Baker, H. V. April 9, 1921. Springs, arrangement of; frame construction.-In a spring suspension for perambulators and other vehicles and of the type comprising a lever pivoted to the body and coupled to the chassis or wheel frame and controlled by a resilient medium, the lever is coupled to the chassis &c. by straps of the kind in general use on perambulators. As shown, U-shaped levers b, c are pivoted at e to the body a of a perambulator and are connected by a spring d. Straps f are used to couple the upper ends of the levers to upward extensions of the wheel frame g<1>, which is composed of tubes coupled together at the horizontal portions and extended to support the body and to constitute a handle g.
