Abstract
176,195. Lea, J. Chater-. Jan. 6, 1921. Wheels, facilitating detachment of.-In means for attaching detachable-spindle hubs to the rear forks, a separate bush on each side, Figs. 1 and 2, is provided with a shoulder A, adapted to engage the inside of the fork B, Fig. 3, or an interposed washer, and with a screwed stem having two parallel flats C to engage the usual slots in the fork, the bushes being clamped in position by nuts F. The shoulders A are formed with #-shaped recesses D to receive the ends of the hollow axle E, and the wheel is secured in position by passing the draw-out spindle through the bush, Fig. 1, and screwing its end into the bush, Fig. 2.
