Abstract

173,349. Rogers, F. H., (Matthews & Bro., Inc., W. N.). Oct. 9, 1920. Piston valves. - An atomizer, more particularly for spraying paint, insecticides, &c., comprises a casting 1 and a nozzle fed by two ducts 1<a>, 1<b> formed in the casting. Means such as screw valves 13, 14 engaging in threaded openings in the casting are provided for independently regulating the flow of fluid through the ducts 1<a>, 1<b> and an operating valve 3 is provided for controlling the passage through both ducts. The valve 3 comprises a piston having annular grooves 3<a>, 3<b>, a spring 4, and a press-button 5.
