Abstract

Brackets, adjusting and securing; stands and like upright supports.-A support for cameras. levels, &c. comprises a U-shaped frame provided with a clamping-screw 8<1>, the instrument being attached by a threaded portion 21 and a locking- nut 22 to a member 20 secured by a set-screw 17, so as to be adjustable angularly to a member 13. This member is provided with a spigot 14 rotatable in a hole in the U-frame and clamped by a set-screw 16. For attaching the device to a tree, &c. a member shown in Fig. 3 is provided comprising a threaded portion 7 provided at about its middle with a milled nut 8 and terminating in a wood-screw 9<1>, which is housed when not in use in a screw-threaded hole 4 in the U-frame.
