Odometers; centrifugal speed indicators. - The total mileage run by a vehicle and the mileage travelled at above a given speed are registered by separate counters, one of which R is driven through a clutch controlled centrifugally in accordance with the speed. The total counter G is actuated from the vehicledriven shaft A through a spindle B, worm gearing C, D, and a pin. and toothed wheel F. The spindle B carries a crossrod I on which are slidably arranged two sleeves H adapted to slide outwardly under centrifugal action against the pressure of adjustable springs J. When the speed exceeds a predetermined value projections M on the sleeves come within the range of teeth on a wheel O and consequently drive the counter R through this wheel, its spindle P, and worm &c. gearing Q, S.
