Building-slabs, special shapes of; flooring-slabs.-Walls and floors are formed. of flanged reinforced-concrete slabs having two longitudinal ribs C of the same depth as the flanges and a single transverse rib H of less depth. The ribs and flanges are reinforced by a central strip of meshed or expanded metal, and the flat body is reinforced by three such strips. To form a wall, the slabs of storey height are placed in pairs between grooved pillars with the deeper ribs touching. Preferably the flanges at the bed joints F are narrow so that the air cavity is continuous. For floors, the slabs are made of a length equal to twice the pitch of the walls or beams M, and their sides - and ends may be rabbeted.
