Abstract

169,138. Compagnie Electro-Mecanique. Sept. 17, 1920, [Convention date]. Flat extended surfaces, polishing.-In a machine as described in Specification 142,446, the supporting-arms are omitted and a wheeled carriage 15 is provided. The carriage is pivoted at 16 to the machine and is adjustable, to vary the pressure of the tool 10 on the surface undergoing polishing, by a right and left handed screw 19. The guiding- handle 9 is mounted on a long shaft 9<a> pivoted at 11 to the casing of the machine, the inclination of the shaft being adjustable by means of a pin 12 and a series of holes 13 in a segment 14 secured to the casing. The motor switch is mounted at 23 on the guiding-handle. The machine is adapted to work on horizontal or inclined surfaces.
