Abstract
166,987. Ryde, W. Eskdaile-, Haigh, C. W., and Lea, L. H. April 27, 1920. Skewers.-A meat or like skewer is made of metal of channelled cross-section, the handle being formed by bending the channelled shank into a loop or the like or by attaching a button head to the shank. The loop handle may be cf various shapes and is preferably arranged to have the channel within the loop, as shown in Fig. 5, and may be reinforced by a solid filling around which the channelled shank is pinched to retain it within the loop, or by a channelled stiffener nested within the loop of the channelled skewer. A button head k, 'beaded at l, is attached to the shank by clinching over the shank projections g after they have been introduced in slots h in the head k. The projections may be formed on the head and attached to the shank. In a further modification, Fig. 7, the channelled shank is prcvided with a handle of double crescent form.
