Abstract

165,279. Taggart, J. Scott-, Read, F. O., and Englebach, P. W. April 28, 1920. Vacuum tubes.-The anode 6 of a valve is supported rigidly by means of a wire 5, the ends of which are embedded in glass or silica rods 2, 3 supported from both ends of a tubular bulb, the leading- in wires 9, 10 for the filament 12 being also fused into the rods. A glass or silica rod 7 supporting the grid 8 is fused into one of the rods 2, 3. The filament leads are connected to two caps 15, 16 and the grid and anode to terminals 18, 17 respectively.
