March 27, 1920- Catches, gravity. - An automatic catch or holder for securing motor-van and other swing doors open comprises a bell-crank lever C with hook nose pivoted and wholly arranged within a bracket A fixed to the side of the van and adapted to engage a lip on a wedge-shaped bracket B fixed to the door in position to enter the open end of the bracket A. The lever C which projects through the side of its supporting-bracket is released by hand.
