Abstract

Hair-curling appliances.-A carrying-frame for supporting electric heaters for hair curling is counterbalanced so that it is capable of adjustment in height. The frame a, which may consist of radial anns 9 with a circular framework, is provided with a central rod b sliding within a tubular socket c, the upper end of which is secured to a ceiling-plate d. A cord h is attached to the rod b, and passes over pulleys i, j to the counterweight k. The socket c is preferably provided with a. longitudinal slot f and lateral slots in which ' engages a pin e on the rod b. The heaters e are separately suspended by cords n having balance weights o, and means are provided upon the frame, a by which the cords n may be held in positions corresponding to those in which the heaters are set when in use.
