Magnetos, driving.-Relates to four-strokecycle internal-combustion engines of the kind having a single beat-valve serving both for inlet and exhaust, and a rotary distributing valve controlling the inlet and exhaust passages behind the beat-valve. The rotary valve may be driven by chain-and-sprocket gear from the crank-shaft; the chain may pass over the sprocket of the magneto, and the magneto may be adjustable for tightening the chain.
