Abstract

The composition contains at least one cyclic acetal or ketal of the formula X <IMAGE> in which R1 and R2 and R3-R8 have the meaning stated in Claim 1, and n is zero or the number 1 or 2. The composition is particularly suitable for use as sunscreen or anti-sunburn agent. In sunscreen agents, the antiinflammatory agent is preferably combined with conventional UV filter substances. The compounds of the stated formula which are present in the composition as antiinflammatory agents are colourless or pale yellow, crystalline or liquid substances which are distinguished by a good antiinflammatory action with good physiological tolerability, especially good tolerability on the skin.
