Guards.-A stationary tubular guard 3 for a rotary shaft 1 is supported by the bearing 2 of the shaft and cannot be removed until the shaft is dismounted. A flange 3<a> on the tube is supported in a recess 5 in the bearing and rotation of the tube is prevented by the engagement of a notch in the flange with a projection on the bearing.
