Abstract

154,127. Wood, H. S. April 21, 1920. Stud-and-socket fastenings.-Bags, pockets, &c. are secured by the engagement of the head d of a stud preferably having a flat stem f, with a socket b from which it can only be released by pressure upon a stud n carried by the socket part. In the arrangement shown, the head d passes between, and is then held by, a pair of springs h, and is freed when the stud n is pressed in owing to a wedge-shaped head p thereon passing between the springs and separating them. A further spring then ejects the stud e.
