Abstract
154,017. Hamilton, D. C., and Wingate, W. Sept. 16, 1919. Shoring and strutting; scaffolding and staging. -Reinforced planks, stays &c. for staging, scaffolding, and terracing of sports grounds and grandstands, comprise ordinary wooden planks a bolted or screwed to malleable metal plates b with or without side flanges b<1>. The plates may extend beyond the ends of the wood and may be corrugated as shown in Fig: 1 or dished at g as shown in Fig. 4 with filling-pieces h or struckup metal portions at the corners. A number of plates d, Fig. 3, may be connected together by the side flanges d<2>, for making platforms &c. of the reinforced planks.
