1532441 Railway vehicle undercarriages GLOUCESTER RAILWAY CARRIAGE & WAGON CO Ltd 22 Dec 1975 [4 Jan 1975] 345/75 Heading B7L A railway vehicle includes at least a pair of resilient pads 320 between a saddle structure 14 and a bearing element 15 overlying and engaging an axle bearing assembly 10 of a wheelset, the pads 320 being oppositely inclined and symmetrically disposed fore and aft relative to the axis of the bearing assembly to restrain movement of the bearing assembly relative to the saddle structure 14 in the fore- and-aft direction of the vehicle. As shown, the pads 320 are four rubber blocks arranged two in front and two behind the axis of the bearing assembly, with their medial planes inclined to the horizontal not only in the fore-and-aft direction but also in the transverse direction of the vehicle to also restrain transverse movement of the bearing assembly relative to the saddle structure.
