Abstract

1531113 Food grinders and mixers; comminuting apparatus SEB SA 26 Jan 1977 [23 March 1976] 03239/77 Headings B1C and B2A An electric food grinder comprises a first container 2 provided with a rotary cutter 3 and a second container 10 slidably mounted within the first container and provided with an apertured, domed base 12 which covers the cutter when the bases of the two containers contact each other and through which particles of food pass to prevent the particles being ground too finely by the cutter. The second container is provided with slits 10a to enable food which passes between the walls of the two containers to enter the first container. The base of the second container may be detachable. The motor unit 1 on which the grinder is releasably secured comprises a pair of switches 19, 20 arranged in series such that both switches must be closed before operation of the cutter. A mixer (27) (Fig. 6 not shown) may be attached to the motor unit in place of the grinder.
