Abstract

1530108 Powder coating composition SOC ITALIANA RESINE SIR SpA 29 April 1977 [30 April 1976] 18133/77 Heading C3B A particulate composition comprises (A) a solid diglycidyl ether of a dihydric phenol having m.p. 50-100‹ C.; (B) a solid novolac resin selected from in which n = 1-10 in which n 1 = 1-8 and R is a C 1-8 alkyl radical, and in which R 1 is a C 1-4 alkylene radical, R 2 is the radical and R 3 , R 4 and R 5 are H or have the same meaning as R 2 ; (C) as curing catalyst mixtures of dicyandiamide and an imidazole. (B) is present at 5-40 parts by wt. per 100 parts of (B) + (C) and (C) is present at 1-5 parts by wt. per 100 parts of said sum.
