Abstract
PURPOSE: A thermosetting resin composition that is composed of a mixture from a specific aminoalkoxysilane and a glycidyl ether, thus forming coating film with high surface hardness and antifogging properties by heat curing.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 parts by wt of an aminoalkoxysliane of formula I or II (R1 is 1W4C alkylene; R2 is 1W4C alkyl; R3 is OR2, 1W4C alkyl; R4 is 1W6C alkylene) as N- (aminoethyl)-γ-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane, γ-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane and (B) 1W100 parts of polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether of formula III (n is integer of 1 or more) are mixed and made to react with each other at about 50W80°C. Additionally 1W10 parts of (C) gylcidoxyalkyltrialkoxysilane of formula IV may be incorporated to the about mixture.
