Abstract

1528226 Helicopter rotors SOC NATIONALE INDUSTRIELLE AEROSPATIALE 9 March 1976 [26 March 1975] 9385/76 Addition to 1432117 Heading B7W A helicopter comprises a mast 6 to which is secured by fastenings 5 a flat hub member 1 comprising, for each blade, a flexible substantially triangular arm 1a made of glass fibre and terminating in a cylindrical spigot 7. The innermost portion of each arm 1a is thicker than the outermost portion 1b and is formed with a cutout 3 to accommodate a blade attachment fitting comprising a frusto-conical laminated resilient element 27 bonded to a bridging member 22 and to a fitting 25 secured to the arm by attachments 26. The bridging member 22 is secured by attachments 23, 24 to spaced arms 2a, 2b which extend inwardly from, and are integral with, the blade structure, adjacent to which they support a part-spherical self aligning socket 29 for the spigot 7. A pitch control arm 28 is secured by the attachments 23, 24.
