Abstract

1526628 Valves A A BAKAR 5 April 1977 14234/77 Heading F2V Jn a stopcock the valve member 11 is moved relative to its seat 6 by a cam 14 which is pivoted at 46 and is integral with an operating lever 18. The cam acts on a piston follower 8 having a hollow depending rod 9, inside of which slides an upstanding valve stem 10. The lever houses two springs 45 acting on friction pads 20 which bear on the convex upper surfaces (44) of two support blocks 37 attached to the valve housing to hold the lever in any position.
