Abstract

1525421 Cleaning endless conveyers J STODDARD & SONS Ltd 23 Nov 1976 [4 May 1976] 18167/76 Heading B8A Material is cleaned from the inner surface of a conveyer belt 7 by the action of a return pulley 8 having a plurality of helical flights 1 thereon. The flights are spaced out from the axis on struts 5 and are of strip form with surface portions 21 acting to drive material dislodged from the belt towards an end of the pulley. The helix may also have opposite hands either side of a centre line and have a convex profile to assist tracking of the belt.
