Abstract

1,149,315. Roller conveyers. LAMSON ENG CO. Ltd. 2 April, 1968 [4 April, 1967], No. 15449/67. Heading B8A. Conveyer rollers 3 are directly driven by a V-belt 5 but conveyer rollers 6 are driven by wheels 7 intermediate the belt and the rollers 6. The wheels 7 have a rubber coating 8. The belt, driven by a roller 10 and made up of leather strips hinged together, also engages idler and take-up rollers 9, 10. In Fig. 1 (not shown), the conveyer is of curved form. When the conveyer is straight, the rollers 3, 6 are cylindrical rather than tapered.
