Abstract

The calenderable, film-forming composition contains from 30 to 40 % by weight of vinyl chloride polymer, an essentially amorphous chlorinated polyethylene and epoxy plasticisers. The chlorinated polyethylene has a chlorine content of from 35 to 50 % by weight. The films obtained from this composition by calendering can be used as vapour barriers, have low brittleness at low temperatures and do not propagate flames or evolve smoke.
