1522190 Flotation apparatus SAINT-GOBAIN TECHNIQUES NOUVELLES 29 Dec 1975 [30 Dec 1974] 01892/78 Divided out of 1522189 Heading C1C Flotation apparatus for removing suspended pollutants from liquids (e.g. surface water) comprises a vessel for containing a volume of liquid having an annular upper liquid surface, the vessel being provided with a plurality of orifices for admission of liquid, means for introducing or for producing bubbles of gas in the liquid and a raking device for removing floating solid matter comprising an arm mounted to rotate about the axis of symmetry of said annular surface and drivable in rotation about that axis to sweep the surface, the arm being provided with means for radially removing said solid matter from and over the surface, the apparatus including an overflow, preceded by a baffle, through which overflow the liquid passes prior to its removal from the vessel.
