Abstract

In order to prepare the novel compounds of the formula (I) <IMAGE> having R3 in accordance with Patent Claim 1, compounds of the formula (II) <IMAGE> are used as starting material. The radical :CF2 is inserted into the latter compounds. This reaction takes place in an aprotic solvent, it being possible to obtain the radical either by means of the pyrolysis of an alkali metal salt of chlorodifluoroacetic acid or by means of the reaction between HCF2Cl and a base. The compounds of the formula (I) are further reacted to give compounds of the formula (IV) <IMAGE> having R in accordance with Patent Claim 3. The abovementioned compounds exhibit antibacterial activities.
