Abstract

1515757 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 9 Dec 1975 [17 Dec 1974] 50502/75 Heading G3P The output of a pump 11 is adjusted by pistons 15, 16, the larger of which is controlled by a valve 28 responsive to speed dependant pressure from an auxiliary pump 33 driven from the same source as the pump 11, the valve 11 having its movement opposed by the pressure in an accumulator 39 charged from the auxiliary pump through a non- return valve 40 and having means to permit fluid from the accumulator to flow into a return line 30. On increased load, the speed of pump 33 falls allowing the valve 28 to connect the piston 15 to a return line 47 and reduce the output of pump 11 so as to avoid stalling. If pump 33 runs at a lower speed for a long period, fluid in the accumulator leaks into the line 47 through a clearance surrounding a flange 42 so that the valve 28 is moved to again throttle communication between the piston 15 and the line 47 and restore delivery from the pump 11. The latter is also controlled by a pressure responsive valve 22. The fall in speed necessary to operate the valve 28 for stall prevention may be made the same for all speeds of operation by replacing a fixed throttle 35 with a variable throttle (54) Fig. 2 (not shown), responsive to pressure in the line 34.
