Abstract

1515593 Window frames REA METAL WINDOWS Ltd 19 March 1976 11066/76 Heading E1J A frame member contains a cavity 18 which extends under part of a glass receiving rebate or channel 20 and which extends to an external wall of the member, the wall extending over part of the frame width in a glass-thickness direction. In the lower frame member holes are made through the base of channel 20 and the external wall 24 for drainage of the space between sealant (44). A further cavity 26 accommodates cleats for securing corners of the frame. Screws for securing the cleats and securing the frame in an external frame 14 extend through thickened portions 28. Bead 32 is a push-fit in slot 30.
