Abstract

151,534. Bellanger, B. R. March 2, 1920. Two-stroke-cycle engines.-Four cylinders having pistons 2 to 5 are disposed in two planes inclined to one another at 90 degrees, the pistons being connected to a pair of cranks 180 degrees apart. Two charging and scavenging pumps are located between the working cylinders, their pistons being connected to a pair of cranks lying in the same plane as the cranks of the pistons of the inclined cylinders. As shown in Fig. 2, the pump pistons are connected to cranks 1, 6 and the working pistons to the cranks x, y.
