Abstract

1513159 IC engine fuel injection systems SOC INDUSTRIELLE DE BREVETS ET D'ETUDES 2 May 1975 [25 July 1974] 18508/75 Addition to 1207228 Heading F1B The air intake pipe 1 supplied with fuel by an intermittently energized injection valve 16 has a by-pass around the throttle valve 2 which is opened by the valve 58 when the pressure downstream of the valve 2 falls below a predetermined value less than the pressure corresponding to steady state idling of an associated engine. Energization of the valve 16 is controlled in accordance with the position of the air valve 3 and the rotation of an engine driven rotor 23 and the fuel pressure at the valve is controlled by a regulator 33. The volume of the intake pipe portion 64 downstream of the valve 2 is large in relation to the capacity of the associated engine.
