Abstract

1502377 Pneumatic braking systems ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 16 May 1975 [2 Nov 1974] 20782/75 Heading F2F A multi-circuit compressed air braking system comprises a compressor 2 supplying a multiplecircuit protective valve 5, high-pressure storage reservoirs 6, 7 connected to the valve, a pressure limiter 28, 29 downstream of each reservoir, first and second service brake circuits I, II connected to the respective pressure limiters, and third and fourth circuits III, IV connected to circuits I, II via lines 26, 27 respectively. Circuits I and II supply a dual-circuit foot operated brake valve 8, a hand-brake 10 being also provided in a line connected via non- return valve 12 to circuit III for controlling release of spring-applied brakes 11. Air from the downstream sides of valves 8, 10 is taken to a trailer control valve 17 having connecting lines 18, 20 to a brake line coupling 19 and a supply line coupling 15. The system also includes a pressure regulator 3 at the compressor outlet. Each of reservoirs 6, 7 may be replaced by a group of reservoirs.
