Abstract

1,099,540. Fluid-pressure brakes. WAGNER ELECTRIC CORPORATION. Dec. 30, 1965 [Jan. 4, 1965 (2)], No. 55272/65. Heading F2F. In a fluid-pressure braking apparatus for tractor-trailer vehicles a driver-operated control valve device 9, as claimed and described in Specification 1,080,670, controls the supply of compressed-air from separate branch lines 8, 15 and branch reservoirs 10, 16 to service lines 12 and 18 leading to fluid-pressure motors 13, 19 respectively of the brakes of the tractor vehicle. A main reservoir 3 supplies compressed-air to the branch reservoirs 10, 16 via one-way check valves 11, 17. Another conduit 23 is connected between a push-pull hand-operated valve 24 and the conduit 23 leading to the control port of the control valve 9. Another push-pull hand-operated valve 25a is interposed in a line 25 leading from the main reservoir 3 to the control line to the tractor protector valve. An emergency line to the tractor protector valve leads direct from the main reservoir 3.
