Abstract
1499720 Preventing platelet aggregation and/ or thrombosis HOECHST AG 24 Jan 1975 [25 Jan 1974] 3252/75 Heading A5B Platelet aggregation and/or thrombosis is prevented in a non-human mammal by administration thereto a compound of the general formula: wherein X is H or OH; Y is H, OH, halogen, C 1-4 alkyl, C 1-4 alkoxy or trifluoromethyl; Z is C 3-5 alkylene which may be substituted by C 1-4 alkyl or C 1-4 alkoxy, a divinylene group which may be substituted by C 1-4 alkyl, or a group of the formula: Administration may be orally or parenterally in the form of tablets, dragees, capsules or sterile solutions. Platelet aggregation in mammalian plasma in vitro or in mammalian plasma other than human plasma in vivo is inhibited by addition to the plasma of a compound of formula I above.
