Abstract

1495110 Hair curlers LUCKY HAIR PRODUCTS KK 18 June 1976 25398/76 Heading A4V A hair curler comprises a tubular openwork roller 1 with a cellular synthetic resin cover 15, and a clamping bow 17 pivoted on a support part 9 rotatably mounted in one end of the tubular roller, the free end of the bow having a projection 21 to engage in one of two or more slots 7 which intersect each other in the other end of the roller. As shown, the roller comprises annular ribs 4 and straight ribs 5, there being cuts 12, 13 through the ribs 5 in the central region of the roller to give it greater flexibility. Alternatively, Fig. 7 (not shown), a helical section (14) in the centre of the roller imparts the flexibility. The plastics cover may be of a polyurethane foam with a smooth outer surface or, as in Fig. 8 (not shown) the outer surface may be ridged. The clamping bow 17 may Fig. 9 (not shown) have portions of wave-like form and also protrusions (22) to aid in gripping the hair.
