Abstract

1494922 Garment pockets DOLLFUS MIEG & CIE 21 March 1975 11941/75 Heading A3V A pocket bag comprises two sheets with an inlet to the interior of the bag or an upper portion of a side edge thereof and is provided with adhesive means 12 Fig. 2, on the top edge of one sheet 10 for attaching the bag to a garment such as trousers, adhesive means 15 on the outside of the inlet edge of the one sheet for securing the bag to garment material intended to overlie the bag, and adhesive means 16, inside the bag on the other sheet 14 for attaching a facing material g, Fig. 4. The lower end of inlet edge of sheet 10 makes an acute angle with respect to the edge of the sheet 14. The bag is placed in the desired position relative to the garment and the assembly ironed to attach it as outlined above. Overlying layer 17 Fig. 4 of the garment material is folded around strip 15 onto the bag and stitched at 18 to the sheet 10. The adhesive means is thermoadhesive tape capable of adhering on both sides, high - frequency or ultrasonically spot welded or machine stitched to the bag. Alternatively thermoadhesive glue or thermoadhesive yarn stitching may be used.
