Abstract

1492323 Paperinaking BELOIT CORP 14 Jan 1975 [17 Jan 1974] 1563/75 Addition to 1411773 Heading D2A In a modification of the twin-wire machine disclosed in U.K. Specification 1411773, the headbox is divided by at least two partitions whereby at least three stocks flows can be supplied separately to the slice opening. As shown, three stock flow paths are defined by paths (71, 75, 83, 96), (72, 75, 82, 95) and (73, 75, 81, 94) respectively, slice chamber compartments 94, 95, 96 being separated by flexible sheet elements 85, 86 and each compartment 94, 95, 96 containing flexible trailing elements 97, 98, 99 anchored at their upstream ends to an apertured plate 84. Specification 1492324, divided from this Specification discloses a method of making a three-ply web using the machine.
