Abstract

1492118 Folding and cutting apparatus MITSUBISHI JUKOGYO KK 21 March 1975 [25 March 1974] 12038/75 Heading B8R Sheets cut from a web 1 by cutters 6 on a cylinder 4 are either directed to a stack 3 via gripper cylinder 15 and chain grippers 17 or are directed to a folding cylinder 7 which folds them into a jaw cylinder 11 which passes them to a delivery fan 13. The route taken by the sheets is determined by cam actuated picker pins on cylinders 4 and 7, the pins being arranged such that either those on cylinder 4 or those on cylinder 7 grip the sheet for cutting only or cutting and folding respectively. The web 1 may be longitudinally slit at 22 and longitudinally folded on a folding plate.
