Abstract

1488474 Siting buildings MITSUBISHI JUKOGYO KK 24 Feb 1976 [6 March 1975] 07125/76 Headings E1A and E1S An industrial plant, e.g. a chemical plant, is constructed initially as a floating structure 1, then floated into a position adjacent its required working position by sea or, e.g. canal, whereafter the region 10 (Fig. 4) around the structure 1 is isolated from the surrounding water, by e.g. an embankment 11, the water level in region 10 is raised by pumping water in, the structure is moved into position at 9, and the water is then pumped out of region 10 again, causing the structure to settle in position, whereafter the region may be filled with soil 12.
