1487452 Coating piles NIPPON KOKAN KK 1 Oct 1975 [4 Oct 1974] 40182/75 Heading EIH A pile is coated with two coats comprising an inner coating of a bituminous slide layer whose coordinates on a softening point-penetration graph lie within a polygon with apices (55, 240) (33, 240), (53, 10), (65, 10) and (80, 30) the softening point being measured according to ASTMD-36 and plotted on a linear scale in degrees centigrade and the penetration being measured according to ASTMD-5 and plotted on a logarithmic scale and an outer protective layer comprising a synthetic resin, paper, or knitted, woven or non-woven fabric of natural or synthetic fibre.
