Abstract

148,690. Judge, M. H., and Judge, M. July 24, 1919. Door jambs; window frames.-Door posts, sills, stiles, mullions, transomes, &e. are made from reinforced or plain concrete and wood, the wood being positioned so as not to be exposed to the weather. A window stile is shown in Fig. 2 formed from a plain or ornamental concrete slab 1 with a fixing groove or rib 2 and wooden flanges 10, 11, 13 in the inner side of the usual construction. A mullion for a casement sash is shown in Fig. 5 and a post or head for a door in Fig. 9. The wooden facings are secured to the concrete by means of ribs and grooves or 'by screwing to plugs moulded in the concrete &c. The sill for a door may be all concrete.
