1485497 Two-part couplings CAVISCAVETTI ISOLATI SpA 21 Nov 1974 [30 Nov 1973] 50420/74 Heading H2E A rigid strip connector for ribbon-like multipolar cables 15 comprises a body 1 having splits 2 for receiving strips 9 over which are folded the cables 15 whose insulation (19, Fig. 7, not shown) has been removed in the area 20. Extensions 10, 16 of the strip and cable respectively coincide after folding and are held together by a plastics rivet 17. A protrusion (14, Fig. 9, not shown) from the strip engages a groove 4 in the body 1 and prevents mismating. Openings 12 in the strip enable the protrusions 11 to be deflected inwardly.
