Abstract
1482601 Valves P B KNIGHTS 2 Sept 1975 [11 Sept 1974 (2)] 27199/74 and 39661/74 Heading F2V [Also in Divisions F1 and G3] A one-way valve (Fig. 3) has a body 62 incorporating a conical valve seat 60 with a ring of apertures 65 which are closed by a rubber annulus 66 clamped on the seat 60 by a ring 61. The movement of annulus 66 is limited by a flange 73 on the ring 61. A valve (Fig. 4) for preventing fluid flow from a duct 29 to a duct 29<SP>1</SP> unless the fluid pressure in the duct 29 is above a minimum value comprises a piston 93 urged in one direction by a spring 94 and in the opposite direction by fluid pressure in the duct 29. The piston 93 has a cranked by-pass duct 100 which co-operates with a flow control edge in a rebate 85. When the fluid pressure in duct 29 is sufficient to urge the piston 93 rightwards fluid passes through the by-pass duct 100 to duct 29<SP>1</SP>. A flow control device (Fig. 5) comprises a capillary 113 in which is slidable a rod 116 in a seal 114, 115, to vary flow rates through the capillary 113. The capillary 113 may be obturated by a flange 121.
