1480566 Change-speed gear CLAAS MASCHINENFABRIK GmbH Gebr 9 Oct 1975 [11 Oct 1974] 41525/75 Heading F2D [Also in Division H1] A change-speed gear for the threshing drum of a combine-harvester comprises two stepped pulleys 1, 2, each step being of multi-groove construction to receive a multiple Vee belt 4. A belt tensioning roller 17, which may be the same width as the pulleys or the width of the belt and laterally displaceable, can be moved into or out of contact with the belt by a hand operated bell crank lever 14, a compression spring 11 providing the necessary biasing force. Preferably the pulleys are stepped such that the same length of belt is required for each transmission ratio.
