Abstract

1477061 Gas turbines TURBINE INDUSTRIE 19 March 1975 [20 March 1974] 11522/75 Headings F1G and FIT A gas turbine plant comprises a first turbine rotor 17 on a shaft 4, and a second turbine rotor 20 on a shaft 22, the shafts being supported on respective oil bearings 5 and 23, 24 arranged so that there is an oil bearing on one side only of each rotor. One or more combustion chambers 11 are arranged eccentrically of the shaft axes. As shown, the shaft 4 also causes a low-pressure compressor rotor 3 and a supersonic compressor rotor 8.
