Abstract

1476344 Photographic exposure control AGFA-GEVAERT AG 14 June 1974 [16 June 1973] 26478/74 Heading G2A A circuit 4 generates pulses at a frequency dependant on the illumination incident on a photocell 5 and a counter 15 operates a switching stage 16 to terminate exposure when a pre-selected count has been reached. Circuit 4 includes an FET 7 which charges a capacitor 8 at a rate dependent on the illumination incident on photo-cell 5 and a threshold switch 9, 13 which periodically discharges capacitor 8 to provide a pulse train. When the pre-selected count is reached, the signal from stage 16 operates a shutter closing electromagnet 17 and is fed back to counter 15 by a connection 18 in order to stop the counter 15. The count may be selected according to film speed and/or aperture, or alternatively these factors are accounted for by adjusting an attenuator 21 located in front of photo-cell 5.
