Abstract

1476253 Knitting machines NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP 24 Feb 1975 [21 May 1974] 22628/74 Heading D1C In a V-bed or other flat-bed knitting machine, the yarn is fed via a satellite carriage 30 driven so as to maintain a constant yarn path length between a stationary delivery point 18 of the yarn and the feeder 22. The movement of carriage 30 is controlled by element 36 fixed at one end 40 e.g. to the right hand end of needle bed 13 and connected at its other end 38 to the feeder 22 so that the length of yarn between pulley 20 and feeder 22 equals that of element 36 and is therefore constant.
