1475150 Folding cameras EASTMAN KODAK CO 30 May 1974 [2 June 1973] 23998/74 Heading G2A A folding camera has a first rigid cover member 118 pivoted at one end to the camera body and carrying a lens 124 at its free end, a second rigid cover member 136 being pivoted to the first, and forming, in the open position, a rigid triangular support for the lens. The camera is latched in the open position of Fig. 1 by a pawl 160 on member 136 whose end engages with a pin 158 on the housing. It is unlatched by pressing a button 162. Each cover member 118 and 136 has respective skirt portions 134, 140 at each edge, which co-operate with a bellows 132 to form a light-tight enclosure for the photo-sensitive element 105, which, after exposure, is expelled from the camera through a slot 144. When the camera is folded into the closed position of Fig. 2, the members 118 and 136 both pivot anticlockwise, and the end 122 carrying the lens 124 moves into a space 155 formed by an L-shaped extension 152 of the housing and the remainder thereof. In this closed position the cover members lie on either side of the camera housing.
