Abstract

1475019 Sacks NORSK HYDRO AS 24 April 1975 17051/75 Heading B8K A sack Fig. 3 for transport and storage of bulk goods in quantities up to 1000 kilogrammes comprises a single sheet of material folded double, the unfolded sides 4, 5 being closed by seams 6, and the side seams terminating at a distance from the folded side 3 which is provided with a cut 9 so that between the cut and the openings 8 in the opposite unfolded sides two lifting straps are provided. As described a sheet of polypropylene textile is folded double and sewn along seams 6 up to arrows 7 to leave openings 8 adjacent the folded side 3. The cut 9 is a slit or a V cut. During filling the cut is held open and after filling the sack is lashed by a rope 11, Fig. 6, beneath the cut to provide loops 12. The sack may have more than one layer, i.e. an inner sack may be provided, and the sides may be gusseted.
