Abstract

1474322 Container traffic vehicle loading mechanism AUTOLAVA OY 6 March 1975 [19 March 1974] 9410/75 Heading B8Q [Also in Division E] A container transporting vehicle has a tilting platform 2 up which a container or platform 3 can be loaded by a tail 9 preferably in the form of a chain or cable having an engaging element in the form of hook 10 to engage a fastening 14 on the container. The tail 9 is attached to an endless chain 8 driven by an hydraulic motor 5. When drawn fully on to the platform 2 a locking element 19 engages the fastening 14. To unload a container the platform is tilted and by a counter element 11 engaging the element 10 to prevent its movement towards the point of attachment 12 of the tail 9 the chain 8 can push the container 3 off the platform. This pushing action can be used, Fig. 12, to transfer a container 3 on to a trailer of similar height while the platform 2 remains horizontal. The element 10 has supporting rolls which run on the platform 2.
